Amy Dewsnup... oh the good old days

I've been cleaning up and organizing lately getting ready to move to CALIFORNIA and I found my old pictures. My pre-Klaron pictures. So here's a little blast from my past for you all to enjoy...

I'm pretty sure this is me.

1997--For my 8th grade graduation present, my dad took me for a 2 week white water rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. This is the rapid that almost tipped us. It did break an oar off the side of our raft.

Freshmen year at Universal Studios we met Will Friedle from Boy Meets World. He was with Jennifer Love Hewitt, but we didn't know who she was back then.

Me as Prune Blossom at the Miki Prune Festival.

2001 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION

The day after graduation it was off to Hololulu Hawaii.
This was my room at the Quiet House on The Point. We had a balcony that overlooked the ocean. But who's braggin'

Summer 2002, I drove up to Anchorage, Alaska with 11 friends.
After Anchorage, I went back to BYU-Idaho and lived with the best roommates ever. We had a blast doing the craziest things... Cleaning bathrooms with way to powerful cleaner, whatever Angie is doing HA! and Big Juds, Home of the 1 pound hamburger and OF COURSE, we ate the whole thing. We were sick for 3 days but we got our picture on the wall.
This is Yazmin, AKA... Kathy from Sacramento and this is her "I'm Happy" face!!

This is where Klaron comes in... Preference, our first date. I was talked into asking "that Cramer kid." I guess it turned out ok.
End of the semester. These were the days when EVERYTHING Klaron and I both owned fit into a 1993 VW FOX. CALIFORNIA OR BUST BABY!!!

Summer 2003, Me, mom, dad and James drove dad's shower trailer to Sturgis, South Dakota for the 100th Harley Davidson rally. We saw Mount Rushmore and Wall Drug, a place famous for free water.
After that summer Klaron and I tied the knot TIGHT!!! and the rest is history!!

Happy 4 months to Teagan

At 9:02pm today, Teagan turned 4 months. He has been such a fun little boy to have in our home. He makes me laugh all day with the funny things he does.

Last week we took him to Gridley, California to show him off to everyone and also to bless him in my home ward. We had a great time being home. Almost all our family came from all over to be with us for his special day, it was quite a busy weekend and a full house at my mom's.

We left Columbus on Friday night and after a 3 1/2 hour flight to Houston then another 4 hour flight to Sacramento we finally made it. I was worried for a month about how Teagan was going to do on his first flight. BUT HE DID GREAT!! He charmed all the flight attendants and everyone around him.

Before each flight I took out my bottle warmer and heated up water so Teagan could eat on the plane. I must have looked crazy to those who saw what I was doing. hA!

Teagan looking out the window.

He seemed to just take everything in. What a cute baby!

Saturday, March 21, at the Sacramento Zoo!!

Somewhere between Columbus and Sacramento, Teagan discovered his tongue. He had it sticking out all weekend.

Dakota Joe!! what a character that boy...

Grandma and Teagers.

The clan!! All but one... but only 2 more months then James will be back from Monterrey, Mexico!!!

After the zoo, we had a picnic in the park.

Next to the zoo is Fairytale Land. This is a fun place for little kids to play on slides and other toys with fairy tale and mother goose themes. What is this one???
Teagan and Shaylee Dewsnup on Cinderella's carriage.

Teagan and Mikayla Cramer in the cheese.

Cousins just laughin' it up...

THE BIG DAY!!! March 22... 6 of Klaron's brothers, Andy from Rexburg, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, great-grandparents and friends all came to share Teagan's blessing day. He did so good, didn't make a sound. We had 9 people in the circle, Klaron, Grandpa Craig, Joey, Andy, Grandpa Norm, Uncle Steve, Kent, Kurt and Kraig. WOWZA!

Teagan in his cutie pattootie Classic Pooh outfit!

Monday we spent the day in Yuba City. We ate at IN-N-OUT, oh how I've missed them. Good thing we're moving to California soon. We went bowling and then to Ellis Lake to feed the ducks. The dollar store we went to did not have bread so we got animal crackers instead. I don't know who ate more the ducks or us.

Here duckie duckie...

Tuesday, March 24... Andy, Tara, Landon and Shaylee were leaving for Rexburg, but not before a stop at the best restaurant in town. THE ICE BURGIE! We gorged ourselves on Taco Tuesday and Bulldog burgers then washed them down with mint chocolate chip milkshakes and ice cream cones. So much for my diet ey.
After a fun weekend we left on Wednesday. Klaron and I were comfortable in our coach seats, but Teagan was in heaven on his first class seat. Doesn't get any better than that...
Where is mommy supposed to sit?

I've been so excited for Teagan to turn 4 months so that I can start feeding him real food... if milked-down rice cereal qualifies as real food. This was the first time in his high chair (thanks Jamie and Jon), and it went well.

I don't know how well the rice cereal went over though, I don't think its his favorite. Klaron and I laughed the whole time I was feeding him.
It's still a little cold here in Ohio, at least for a baby. For the rest of us it's T-shirts and flip flops as soon as it reaches positive numbers. But for Teagan when we go for walks we still dress him warmly.

25 February 2009

So much to say...

I can't believe February is over this week, but I am really excited because March is when we are flying home to show off Teagan and I'm happy about that. SO any of you Gridleyites, we'll be in town March 20th, and I want to see you.

February has been a good month even though we were confined to our home due to negative number weather here are some of the highlights:

In the life of Teagan:
1. Laughed for the first time. What a precious sound.
2. Discovered his fingers, it is so cute how he holds them together.
3. Rolled over.
4. Started sleeping through the night, then waking up every 4 hours and last night slept 8 hours. What is this boy doing?
5. Fell asleep in the bathtub. He was so tired one night he just went to bed right in the tub. So cute.

In the life of Amy:
1. Went running for the first time since my C-section, was that ever a funny feeling.
2. Finished Janette Okes "Canadian West" series. Totally recommend it.
3. Taught a family history class.
4. Started to get caught up on my scrapbook, and it looks pretty cool by the way.

In the life of Klaron:
1. Homework
2. Research
3. Homework
4. Research
5. Accept a job offer in Sunnyvale, California!!!! So there it is, we are moving back to California and we're pretty excited about it.

Klaron did have a few free minutes a couple weeks ago so we went hiking in Hocking Hills, a really awesome place here in Ohio. We have gone a couple times during the summer but we heard it was beautiful during the winter. This was Teagan's first hike and he did really good. I carried him in a front carrier (thank you Crystal) so he slept most of the time. We saw four water falls that were completely frozen!!

Teagan ready for the hike, he even let me put the yellow hat on that he hates.

Frozen Cedar Falls

Conkles Hollow

Klaron being silly...

So thats our February, ready or not here comes March...

He Rolls!!!

Teagan decided to roll today!! He learned that if he reaches his head WAY back he can flip over. We were pretty shocked because he's only 11 weeks old.

Life Changing Decision

The time has come!!! We have to make a decision on where Klaron, Teagan and I are going to move in June. ONLY 4 MONTHS AWAY. We've narrowed it down to two places: Sunnyvale, California or Houston, Texas.

Sunnyvale, the name says it all. Right outside of San Jose, close to family, closer to THE BEACH.

OR

Houston, we've lived there before and have friends there but its a 3 day drive (almost all in Texas) to get to family and ITS HOT!! Like walk outside and you're soaked hot.

We can't decide, so I'm leaving it up to my devoted readers: WHERE SHOULD WE GO? I am leaving this life changing decision in your hands...

Mommy's Little Teddy Bear

Today we thought we would take Teagan outside for a little walk around the neighborhood.
Klaron bundled him up in his teddy bear suit to keep him warm...
but its still a little big on my little man.

Teagan decided he didn't want to go anymore so we stayed home.
