Life is not tried, it is merely survived if you're standing outside the fire...

Monday Morning

Monday mornings are by nature a depressing time of the day for most people. Its the start of a long work week, 5:00 Friday seems so far in the future you can't even see it. To quote Puss in Boots, "I hate Mondays." But in the Cramer house, this Monday morning was a good one. I guess Monday morning starts with Sunday night. These days all our nights are too short and frequently interrupted by the sound of soft movement, followed by a few adorable whimpers and then a noise that gets increasing louder that pierces you straight to your heart strings. This is repeated about 4 times until the light of the morning shines through the window telling you to get up and start your day.

What's the reason for all this rambling? Because last night my sweet Teagan only woke up 2 times and I am very excited about that. He gave mommy 8 hours of sleep only interrupted 2 times. This is something to be excited about.

Mornings for mommy and Teagan Cramer start about 9:30 when Teagan decides he is done being in the bedroom and wants to come out into the living room. Why? He likes to look out the window. I put him on the couch and he stares out the window with a rather interested look on his face just taking it all in. He can sit there for about an hour before he gets restless and wants to be held, fed, changed, put in this bouncer or all of the above.

Here's Teagan looking out the window. What is he thinking about I wonder.

What a smile. He reminds me of a little old man, all toothless and handsome.

Another face of Teagan.

He loves his Soothie.... sometimes.

ANOTHER REASON FOR A HAPPY MONDAY
Since this is our first Christmas we are spending just the 3 of us, we decided to decorate the house. We bought a real tree and put up lights but we needed STOCKINGS. Klaron really liked how his Grandma made their stockings when he was a kid, so instead of store bought stockings he wanted homemade stockings. Being the "domestic wife" as I was once lovingly called, I went to work on making homemade stockings for my husband. Last night I finally finished them. 100% hand stitched, no machine, just me and the needle...

All the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there...
