Life is not tried, it is merely survived if you're standing outside the fire...

5 YEARS AGO TODAY....

5 years ago today Klaron Cramer married Amy Dewsnup and we began our life together as husband and wife. I remember the minute I met Klaron... BYU Idaho at the first ward prayer of Fall Semester 2002. I was chatting with my oh so cool friends when a tall, green eyed, smiley, scruffy bearded boy approached our circle. "What's up guys." Cramer soon became a fixture in my Pineview apartment and we became best friends. We started dating the 24th of January 2003. That summer Klaron made frequent all night drives to Gridley from Los Angeles so we could spend the weekends together. In July he proposed on a sandy beach at Pebble Beach and we were married 5 months later in the Oakland, California temple.

Life from the moment we said "I Do" has been exciting with unexpected adventures around every turn. Like at our reception, with everyone watching, when our honeymoon car, Lupita Fox, wouldn't start.
These last five years have been the best of my life Klaron. I'm so happy to have spent them with you and to have had so many good experiences with my best friend and love of my life. Here's a trip down memory lane for good ole times sake...

We started our life together in a basement apartment in Provo, Utah. Remember...

The triathlon we did with Kraig and Melissa. I remember the dinner we ate at TGI Friday's for beating them by 52 seconds.

MOAB... the easy trail... right. We walked almost the whole way.
Our first Christmas at Wymount

GRADUATION... FINALLY!!! Go Cougars... Then off to Hartford, Connecticut. Remember the road trip across country? We slept in our Durango for 5 nights and showered in the Flying J. Remember the fly in your belly button? HA... When we finally made it to Connecticut we traveled all over the place...
Boston, Massachusetts Temple
Niagara Falls...
New York, New York
Sea kayaking in Nova Scotia, Canada
Kittery, Maine
Wright Brothers Memorial at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina
Good memories of New Orleans...
Washington D.C.
After that summer o' fun, we were separated for 4 months. I went to Utah to finish my degree at BYU Provo and Klaron, you moved to Houston, Texas to pursue the finer things in life... a real job. But it was all worth it when my diploma came in the mail.
To celebrate my graduation, we flew out to Hollywood, California and went to THE PRICE IS RIGHT with some of the best people I know, J and Chance Hammock of Atlanta, Georgia formally of Rexburg, Idaho. After the taping we drove to Utah and made it to the Marriot Center an hour before my graduation started.
Now our path has taken us to Columbus, Ohio for more school.
This year for our anniversary we were deciding between going to the Bahamas or the Florida Keys. But we got a wonderful surprise that we were pregnant and due Novemeber 30th with a little boy. With this news, plans changed... again... and we were happy to welcome into our home and hearts on December 3rd, Teagan James.
It is these serendipitous moments that make life wonderful. The happy surprises and change of plans. This is only the very tip of the highlights in the life we've shared together. I love you muffin, happy anniversary. May our life together be filled with many more adventures and good times. You have one day...

Monday Morning

Monday mornings are by nature a depressing time of the day for most people. Its the start of a long work week, 5:00 Friday seems so far in the future you can't even see it. To quote Puss in Boots, "I hate Mondays." But in the Cramer house, this Monday morning was a good one. I guess Monday morning starts with Sunday night. These days all our nights are too short and frequently interrupted by the sound of soft movement, followed by a few adorable whimpers and then a noise that gets increasing louder that pierces you straight to your heart strings. This is repeated about 4 times until the light of the morning shines through the window telling you to get up and start your day.

What's the reason for all this rambling? Because last night my sweet Teagan only woke up 2 times and I am very excited about that. He gave mommy 8 hours of sleep only interrupted 2 times. This is something to be excited about.

Mornings for mommy and Teagan Cramer start about 9:30 when Teagan decides he is done being in the bedroom and wants to come out into the living room. Why? He likes to look out the window. I put him on the couch and he stares out the window with a rather interested look on his face just taking it all in. He can sit there for about an hour before he gets restless and wants to be held, fed, changed, put in this bouncer or all of the above.

Here's Teagan looking out the window. What is he thinking about I wonder.

What a smile. He reminds me of a little old man, all toothless and handsome.

Another face of Teagan.

He loves his Soothie.... sometimes.

ANOTHER REASON FOR A HAPPY MONDAY
Since this is our first Christmas we are spending just the 3 of us, we decided to decorate the house. We bought a real tree and put up lights but we needed STOCKINGS. Klaron really liked how his Grandma made their stockings when he was a kid, so instead of store bought stockings he wanted homemade stockings. Being the "domestic wife" as I was once lovingly called, I went to work on making homemade stockings for my husband. Last night I finally finished them. 100% hand stitched, no machine, just me and the needle...

All the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there...

- 2 DAYS

The baby count down is now -2 days. He doesn't want to come on his own apparently, so we're going in to get him tomorrow. Klaron and my mom are taking me to the Ohio State Medical Center at 8am, after that we'll see when this baby will make his first appearance.
Here's me on my "due date," November 30th. If the belly is not enough, check out my over sized ankles. I will be glad to have my normal ankles and feet back.
